Welcome to
the Applied Cognition and Safety Lab
About our lab...
The Applied Cognition and Safety Lab studies attentional and cognitive processes related to and underlying the use of emerging technologies and systems and the associated safety outcomes. Our research focus includes but is not limited to collaborative and wearable robotics, virtual and augmented reality, and transportation. Our goal is to contribute to the fundamental understanding of human cognition interacting with systems and technologies and to prevent potential hazards and improve user safety. We are especially interested in safety among special populations, such as industry workers and older adults.
The Applied Cognition and Safety Lab is a part of the Human Factors Program in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Texas Tech University. |
